Description
The starter kit contains
Raspberry Pi 4 board, model B, 4 GB
USB power supply C
USB to USB-C cable (in-line switch)
2x micro HDMI to HDMI cables
32 GB microSD card (with NOOBS 3.1.1 pre-installed)
Card reader
3x cooler
Raspberry Pi aluminum case with integrated fan
28nm processor
The basic building block of the Raspberry Pi 4B is its 1.5GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor. The move to more advanced 28nm technology has enabled the Raspberry Pi 4B to achieve significant increases in CPU, multimedia and I / O performance, making it now a full-fledged personal computer.
4K graphics
VideoCore graphics have been upgraded to version VI. Brings 4Kp60 video, HEVC / H.265 decoding and dual monitor mode! (Note: 4Kp60 cannot be set on two monitors at the same time.)
Connectors and layout
The Raspberry Pi 4B retains the same floor plan as the older models (3B +, 3B, 2B, 1B +), but brings significant changes in the connectors that require a new box and more.
The power connector has been upgraded to USB-C, which allows for higher performance and offers additional benefits. When buying a Raspberry Pi 4B, therefore, don’t forget the USB-C power supply, or the USB-C adapter for old micro USB power supplies.
(Note: The Raspberry Pi 4B requires a minimum 5V⎓3A power supply. Provided that the total consumption of USB peripherals does not exceed 500 mA, a high-quality 5V⎓2.5A power supply can also be used. Weaker power supplies can lead to data loss and damage to the micro SD card! )
The standard HDMI connector has been replaced by two microHDMI connectors. This allows you to connect up to two monitors! You will need two microHDMI cables or two microHDMI cable reducers.
Ethernet has been upgraded to true gigabit and moved to the opposite side of the USB connectors.
Two of the four USB connectors on the Raspberry Pi 4B have been upgraded to much faster USB 3.0.
To facilitate the selection of basic accessories, we offer advantageous sets and specialized sets with the Raspberry Pi 4B.
Software requirements
You can still use the same programs and operating systems on the Raspberry Pi 4B. However, you MUST upgrade your current operating system to the new firmware version for the new chips! Old installations without new firmware will not work.
